In one of the most beautiful medieval squares in Switzerland where for 1200 years a church has stood on the same site in Zurich, the Peterskirche was erected in the early 13th century. The clock face is the largest in Europe and was added to the 13th century tower in 1534 when the tower was extended. The nave was rebuilt in 1705.
