Dublin Sights, Sounds and Hotels

The National Museum of Ireland is housed in Dublin, in a late-Victorian building with balustrades and typical fancy ironwork of the era. Among the many priceless artefacts of prehistoric Ireland displayed here are carved stones, jewellery, and fearsome weaponry. The oldest surviving example of Irish metalwork can be seen in the ancient bronze-coated, iron St. Patrick’s Bell, dating as far back as the 5th – 8th century. The Ardagh Chalice, a silver cup with intricate gold filigree of the 8th century and the Tara Brooch, an elaborate piece of jewellery of white bronze, amber and glass of the 8th century are among the precious relics on display.

Dublin's National Museum is only one example of the wealth of Dublin attractions. Make sure you don't miss out and start planning your trip by booking your accommodation in one of the fine Dublin hotels.
